I need to be better at recording the cute/funny things my kids do. Knowing me I will forget every single one unless I write it down.

Fish went to find Emmie because it was TOO quiet. You know the kind of quiet that screams someone is doing something they probably shouldn't. He walks in to find Emmie trying to cut open a package of Oreos with scissors. She had managed to get one oreo out and it was sitting on the couch. As soon as she saw Fish, she shoved the package and the scissors away and grabs the lone Oreo saying "I don't want these!" as she ran as fast as she could >.<

For awhile I could not figure out WHY my child kept shouting "TWO PANDAS" randomly. I was starting to think she was a really really odd child...until I realized she was saying "STUPENDOUS!" lol. 

I'll have to think of some more things she has said lately. 

Emmie is REALLY into dancing & gymnastics it's just about an obsession I'd say now. She wakes up every morning wanting her "ballerina dress". She will not take it off. She tries to show me dance moves all day long...pirouettes, fouettes, first position, second position, grand jette, etc lol She knows them all by name. She will do sommersaults and say she's doing gymnastics. Love it! I cannot wait to get her into one of those classes.

Oh here is another funny Emmie moment.

Tonight I put her to bed and after awhile I heard kicking against the wall in her room. So, I went to open her door and give her the "look"...she gasped "I choose the right!" and flipped over and went to sleep. lol. It was too funny.

Let's see...Ryann will be 6 weeks on Friday. She is about 11 lbs now. She's doing so well will head control. I think it helps that she is a tummy sleeper, so she's use to having to lift her head up and look around when she wakes. She's still pretty chill for the most part. I think she's going through a growth spurt right now, plus 6 weeks is when fussiness peaks. She's been a tad fussy, but nothing that holding her or giving her a paci won't soothe :) She is so full of smiles! I love this kid! Getting a smile out of her is the easiest task in the world. I hope she keeps that cheerful demeanor :)

Mommy of 2

Things aren't quite as crazy as I had an anticipated them to be.
We're 2 weeks in and still alive! lol

Emmie is adjusting quite well. She adores Ryann. She is always telling her she loves her and wants to hold her/give her hugs&kisses. The only thing she's having a hard time with is not going on as many outings as of lately. She's getting sick of being cooped up. Yesterday we went to some friends for a short play date and then got lunch and took it to the park. Yesterday was heavenly. When we came home she played in her play room for 3 hours, something she hasn't done in a very long time. She still goes to bed on time most nights and sleeps through the night, so I have no complaints :P
Lately she is obsessed with Angelina Ballerina. She tells EVERYONE she is a ballerina. She wears this black dress nearly all day saying it's her tutu and she loves to attempt pirouets. I can't wait until she turns 3 and we can get her into dance classes!

Ryann is doing great. She's 2 weeks old, 9lbs 22inches and perfectly healthy :) She's a pretty chill kid. Feed her, change her and lay her down and she's good. Hopefully it stays that way :)

34 weeks

Yesterday we hit the 34 week mark.
I am huge and uncomfortable :)

Had an appt on wednesday and everything is looking perfect. Blood pressure is great. Weight gain was only 1 pound in the past 2 weeks. Measuring 35 weeks and her heart rate was 155 :)

These next 6 weeks need to fly!

I can only get Emmie to take pics with me if I act like a retard and yell "Yaaaay" or "Ahhhh" or make it fun and exciting somehow. lol

My kid has an obsession with holding people's ears. It DRIVES ME NUTS.

I don't care what anyone thinks, I love my pregnant belly. Stretch marks, varicose veins and all.

Shadow Box Piggy Banks

I saw the idea on Pinterest and loved it, so I had to make our own!

I went to D.I. and found 2 small shadow box frames...I was bummed I couldn't find bigger ones, but oh well, it'll have to do for now :)

I tried to think of some cute quote or one word to go in each box but I couldn't for the life of me think of anything I wanted on my walls for an extended period of time....so I went with a damask print that matched our bedding colors instead.

 

Our walls have been so barren for the past year, it's nice to have SOMETHING hanging on them in our bedroom lol

[btw, I have since fixed the right frame since I noticed after taking this pic that it's lower than the left frame]


 

and please forgive the bright colored linen baskets. haha. They use to hold Emmie's toys, but now they hold Ryann's clothes. Eventually they'll go back to the girl's room.

Crafting Crazy.

I think a screw in my crafting gear has gone loose. I feel like I must be making something every second of every day! It's awful!

But fun too I suppose :)

 

These are bath time dress up dolls I made for Emmie. When we visited Grandma & Papa they had some cute foam dress up dolls that Emmie LOVED...so I had to make her some! It cost my a total of $2.00 and about an hour and a half of my time. Not bad. She LOVES these- as plain as they are :)

 

 

This was just a quick fun crochet project I whipped up. I came across the pattern here.
Emmie would not stand still for me though to get a cute pic, nor would she let me fix her hair >.< Oh well.
 

Daddy and I made Emmie this yarn skirt. She loves dressing up and I couldn't justify buying her a cheap tulle tutu that would fall apart when I had materials at home to make her something that will make her just as happy. Once again, she won't stand still and pose lol

Em's new obsession is taking the couch cushions off and using them as slides.

Not much is new with us...just waiting for this semester to be over and for Ryann to join us!

Diapers, diapers diapers :)

Finally went and bought new needles for my sewing machine. I immediately got to work on this! It's a one size fitted diaper. The pattern was for a pocket fitted, I had made 3 of those before, but this time I wanted a closed fitted with lay in soakers. So I drew up my own pattern for the soakers and messed with the diaper pattern some to not only close up the back pocket, but to add back elastic. I figured if I'm going to use it as a one size on little Ryann when she gets here then back elastic would be a good idea for those poop explosions lol.

You'll probably see a lot more diaper posts since I'm pretty much addicted to sewing again :)

23 weeks

Here's a 23 week so many days photo

I think I've gained like 4 or 5lbs so far. Hoping to keep the numbers low this time...but we'll see. I gained like 40something pounds with Emmie. I'd like to keep this baby around the 25lb mark, but what happens, happens I suppose.

Not much new. Her movements are more subtle now. I think she flipped back head up, so her kicks are low and feel like a fishy swimming or toes digging into me more than kicks. Hope she flips back head down soon and I can feel some good kicks :)

Been working on a bow holder for Ryann and Emmie's bathroom. Nearly finished. :)

Patterns

I've started selling my own crochet patterns on Etsy :)
I'm pretty excited about this. It's much easier to make a pattern, write it up and sell copies of it than have to crank out a bunch of hats or shoes or whatever. So hopefully my patterns take off and I can make a little money from them :)

I'm pretty excited, I sold my first pattern this morning. It was the pattern for this Sleepy Owl Lovie in the picture above :)
Going to start working on patterns for other animals. On my list I have dino, monkey, giraffe, and bear...If you have any super creative animal ideas please tell me! What kind of animal would you like to cuddle with? lol

Pretty sure I have the cutest kid ever.

Not much is new. Sold the king bed, sold the crib....Emmie's bed is put together and in her room and she loves it, we love it. Just trying to get this house reorganized and ready for baby! Next step is to go through all of Emmie's old clothes and see what we have.

I also plan to turn one of our picture frames into a bow holder for the girls. If I ever get around to buying scrapbook paper/ribbon for it! It would look too cute in their bathroom.


So Mother's Day is coming up. This is the card Emmie made for Grandma

22 weeks

Almost forgot, I'm now 22 weeks 2 days pregnant [22w4d according the the drs]

And I'm starting to feel pregnant....

 

My belly is starting to get in the way. lol. I can't believe I still have 18ish more weeks left. I finally can't wear my regular shirts anymore. Sad day. lol

Ryann is moving A LOT. Her movements are pretty strong I think, you can often see her little kicks from the outside now. Little booger likes to make herself known.

Other than getting a belly, I've got lovely acid reflux. I had it with Emmie, I pretty much have to carry a bottle of antacid around with me. And my pelvic disorder is acting up more. It's going to be AWESOME [feel the sarcasm] when I'm in my 3rd trimester. It's already becoming somewhat difficult to do regular things...atleast I have an awesome husband who helps me out a ton and some good friends who are there is I need them :)

Not too much is going on. We're working on rearranging the bedroom to make more room for Ryann and her things. I'm pretty excited :) I think rearranging stuff- Fish hates it haha. But I figure we should get it done now before I'm pretty much incapable of doing anything :)

The Girls' New Bed!

We were trying to figure out what to do bed wise since we got another little one coming.

Emmie had been using our Queen bed since we got a Cali King, but I decided we need more space! The king has to go and we need to take our queen back, then find a new option for the girls.

We looked at everything and finally found this on craigslist!

 

It's perfect! The cheapest option we had found was getting a bunk bed and I wasn't sold on that idea since Emmie is only 2 [though she'll be 3-4 when Ryann moves to their room]. But this trundle is gonna be perfect for their little selves! The bedroom is quite small, so being able to have the trundle hidden will be nice.

Can't wait to get the mattresses and some bedding :)

"It's a TEMPLE, Leah"

Today we went to pick up Emmie & Ryann's new bed. My friend, Brittney, and her daughter, Leah [2], came to help me out since my SPD has been acting up.

On the way home, we passed the Rexburg temple. Emmie LOVES the temple and always talks about it. So, like normal, she shouts "It's the temple!"

and Leah shouts back "NO! It's a castle!" [Brittney said ever since a Dora episode about a castle Leah stopped calling it the temple and now insists it's a castle for princesses lol]

They fought for about 5 minutes back and forth over what it's called

"It's a temple, no castle Leah!"
"It's a castle! CASTLE CASTLE CASTLE"
"NO! It's  TEMPLE!!!"

haha. 2 year olds can be quite entertaining. I think Brittney got it on video, I'll see if I can get her to send it to me.

Ryann Lorraine

 Yay! Ryann is still 100% girl!
We had our anatomy scan today and it was so much fun to see our baby girl!
This ultrasound was so much better than our experience with Emmie. I don't remember the tech telling us as much as this tech did when we were pregnant with Emmie.

The tech showed us every little part and told us about each organ and what she was checking. Ryann looked perfect! As a mommy that is a big relief to hear :)
My original due date was Sept 8, but they have it in their records as Sept 6th and Ryann is measuring one day ahead of that [so 3 days ahead of my original date]. I'm keeping with Sept 8th, since I charted and know when I ovulated, so she's just growing well right now :)
The tech said the ultrasound machine guessed her to weigh 1 lb 1 oz right now and her heart rate was 154bpm :)

 

It's still surreal that we're having another little girl! [or another kid in general!] I am so excited to know she's for sure a girl now, I gotta get crocheting!! haha

Last of our Trip

We are finally back home!
We had such a fun trip but I am so happy to be home! I missed my husband so much. I didn't think I missed my house..until we pulled up and I saw what spring had brought!!!!

Look at my pretty tulips! This pic makes them look small but they're big! I can't wait for them all to grow. [ignore my lawn...my husband IS mowing tomorrow lol] I decided I want to plant a few more of these around the house, they're too gorgeous NOT to!

I also came home to find my fluffy mail had come for Ryann! [Minus 2 more dark pink bumgeniuses that are in the mail and we still need to order some prefolds and snappis]

 

 These are all newborn dipes. They are ITTY BITTY. I mean, just look at the wipes. The wipes are the size of a diaper lol!

The evening before we left we surprised my husband's parents COMPLETELY by showing up where they were eating dinner. This is Emmie and her Papaw Fisher.

I was able to get some of the photos from that memory card the other computer wouldn't read. Here is Emmie in her princess outfit.
